how did the interviews go nanraj and bluecrab?

It went well, thankfully. The staff at the embassy were courteous, and the wait wasn't that long at all. The interview itself lasted about 5 - 10 minutes, the interviewing officer I got was a pleasant lady and the questions were straightforward. I'll be able to pick up the visa this Monday. I also got to meet fellow forum-er Nanraj while waiting for the interview to start, so that was nice.

If you have your documents in order, know your fiance well and your relationship is legit, I reckon you will be okay. Good luck for your interview next week!

My case got updated on website today! NOA2! yet to receive hardcopy

13th May 2014: AOS (I-485) & EAD/AP combo card
21st May 2014: NOA 1 and biometric letter
11th June 2014: biometric appointment
13th June 2014: RFE received via mail
16th June 2014: replied to RFE
6th August 2014: EAD Approved, AP still in initial review
12th August 2014: got tracking number for EAD
( ) August 2014: Received EAD (I forgot what date I got them but I did receive them less than 5 days from the 12th)
10th September 2014: Interview Waiver received (I wished I was interviewed)
April 23, 2015, we registered your permanent resident status and mailed you a Welcome Notice

Congrats to nanraj and blue crab. My interview will be on 24 next week but for some reason we might push the date further or just cancel the petition. My fiance work contract will be end soon so he'll probably move to Asia. It's ok as long as we're together..! :)

Picked up my Visa today.

Interview was easy,I got the same lady CO who interviewed Blue Crab before me. CO asked 5-6 straightforward questions and looked at pictures and approved my visa.

I wish everyone luck in their journey.

Congratulations to all who got their final approvals recently! Must felt tremendous to have a huge weight lifted off your shoulders!

And good luck in all your future endeavors!

By the way, I would really like some confirmation about whether I need to have my Malaysian birth certificate translated. I recently got the new version of the BC - green with a hologram sticker at the bottom. It is in both Malay and English but English is only for the descriptions - not for the information. For example, for "Status of Citizenship", the corresponding info would just be "Warganegara", without the English translation of it. Is this going to be a problem?

I hate to send this to NVC just to have them issue me a checklist for not translating it. That would really set me back a couple of weeks.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

ELIS status - Closed (Card produced)

USCIS case check with receipt number (starts with IOE) - Card delivered in the mail

SSN - Received (Went to SSA location to apply for one)

I have been using this website quite a while but the Malaysian thread is new for me..Lol. No problem, I have Interview appointment next tuesday 29 Oct. I hope to hear from those who had Interview in this week or earlier before..Thanks!
