AOS for k1

Hi,

I entered US on 24th May 2006 under k1 visa and did my medical exam on 6th May 2006.

I got married on 2nd June 2006 and currently assembling the AOS package.

As k1 visa holder, I only need the 1-693A ( immunization record ) to be completed right? Do I have to submit the 1-693 full report ( blood test ect ect? ).

Today I went to the doctor office and get my shot.....he filled out the 1-693A and put inside a sealed envelope... and he was suprised that I dont need the 1-693.....

So I am confused now wether or not to submit.

1-693 + 1-693A

OR

1-693A only for AOS package.

As long as your K-1 medical exam was less than one year from the date you submit your AOS application, you do not require another medical exam, just the Vaccination Supplement (and any other immunizations that were required).

It seems like the civil surgeons aren't aware of the recent changes that the USCIS had made with k1s and k3s/k4s in the last few months. If you had gone for a medical exam prior to getting your k1, k3 or k4 visa, you ONLY need the 693a supplement for vaccination. You do not need to go for another full medical. Just get the vaccinations up to date and get your civil surgeon to give you the supplement form to mail in with your AOS pkg.

You can go to http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/i-693faq.htm for reference. I actually printed this page out and took it with me to the civil surgeon, just to show that this is what i needed and not to be charged for the full medical etc. My civil surgeon didn't even know about this.

I have just receieved my AOS appointment and as a K1 visa holder I have already had my medical. All my vaccinations were done at the time of the K1 interview so does this mean I don't need to submit a vaccination supplement at this interview? If I do does anyone know if a Military MD can complete this rather than a civil surgeon?

If all your vaccinations were done at the original medical exam, you're done. Don't need the supplement.
