Thanks to everyone for the encouragement, and the patience has finally paid off.....on the same day I got my first touch, I got approved. What a tremendous relief this has been.

Juliekins: In my letter to the senator (John Cornyn- Texas), I basically stated the facts of the case in my letter, that I was originally told that it would take between 90-120 days for approval, and that 127 days had passed since my NOA-1, and I was concerned that the petition was lost since I have seen others approved at this service center with petition dates much later than my own. Also, I made the argument that the delay was becoming a financial burden, and that the delay would have the effect of shortening the amount of time my fiancee would have to adjust to being here before I was scheduled for a military deployment next year. In retrospect, I should have been a writer!, hahaha. Also, I faxed this letter along with the release to shorten the amount of time involved corresponding. Hope this helps.
