So Fishdude then there isn't any news media that is factual.

Yes of course there is - but the words reporters use to present those facts offer wide variances of interpretation.

Facts are not necessarily the same as "Truth"

My idea is that a 100% factual news outlet does not exist. That all media is corrupted by some means (political bias, bad journalism, technical difficulty, or bad luck).

Exactly! :thumbs::thumbs:

But we still watch it anyway - the distinction is in how many sources you rely on and the quality of the journalism therein.

I'm still intensely suspicious of the likes of Fox news that actively market themselves as "fair and balanced", when they are clearly neither.

'Do as I say, not as I do', eh?

The question didn't read rhetorical to me! But let's move past this...did you agree with the statement? Cos I still would love a list of non-biased media from least to worst....so if you could help me out with that, I'd appreciate it.

I realize you didn't make the original statement, but if you agree with it, perhaps a little pitch-hitting would be great?

Pretty please with sugar and a cherry and all that jazz ;)

It is called sarcasm. It can be found in sarcasm 101 which should have been handed out alongside Comprehension 101.

I didn`t make the statement. I forget what the original statement was to be honest. I have however expressed my views on media and media truth and not just in this thread. I simply noticed the attempt to gang up on a rhetorical question(imo) and make a big deal out of it when it was it seemed rhetorical.

I will defend views that i agree with but i didn`t make the statement so they are not my views.

I was being sarcastic as well  Didn't knowthat tutorial was passed out alongside the Comprehension 101 tutorial, so thanks for letting me know you got a copy of both B)

But you know what? I've pressed for an answer from the OP of the statement, and the silence speaks volumes...I'm actually no longer interested as the point's been made..

:D

Have you ever seen Monty Python?

English humour can be pretty off key.

My best friend in Britain is actually German. He's of the opinion that the Brits are obsessed with "The War", because he can't watch the TV without coming across a documentary or old war movie. I can see his point.

DON'T MENTION THE WAR!

And if there's not a war movie on BBC2, you can bet they're showing 'that' episode of Fawlty Towers ;)

Like in Euro 96 - with spiked helmets superimposed over all the German players, and "Blitz Fritz" being the front page headline.

Nothing at all wrong with that

I should point out now that the obsession with the war is one encouraged and perhaps perpetuated by the media. I know everybody should realise this fact but i thought i should mention it.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
