Worried about MEDICAL!

Hi All,

Just a brief question...

I went to the doctor 2 weeks ago and had my chest examined.

According to the Doctor, I've got pneumonia based on my X-RAY result (BASAL INTERSTITIAL PNEUMONITIS).

Would it affect my medical? I'm really worried though the doctor said no problem.

I'll be having my medical 2nd or 3rd week of June and I'm worried to death that it might be a big deal.

Pneumonia is not a contagious illness and doctor said it'll be cured 2 weeks after medication

and my lungs would be cleared a month after.

I still be worried until I'm done and know I pass my medical....

Any input would be appreciated!

sa palagay ko sis mag sputum test ka....pero ok lang yan,kasi naniniguro lang din naman sila.

hindi ka nag iisa sis marami din ganun na case, just pray to god na mapadali ang proseso nila.kasi basi sa mga nakasabay ko dati na sputum sila nag antay din talaga sila.

hi joy, thank you for reply...OMG! mas lalo akong kinabahan phewwwwww! and sputum test takes 8 weeks? iniisip ko pa lang parang masisiraan na ako ng bait. and then whats gonna happen after 8 weeks? OMG! im freaking out.

hello...thanks for response...the info that you just gave me freaks the hell out of me... girl you mean even if i bring the doctor's certficate's stating the x-ray result they would still require me to undergo the sputum test? OMG! im freaking out!

hi, i want to have my medical now but my husband want me to do it later after he arrive so i'll have mine on the 2nd or 3rd week of june...

Hi! just thought id share to you yung naging case ng daughter ko with her medical at st.lukes, kse it seems to me that similar yung case nyo po.. my daughters xray was not cleared bec of pneumonia.. so they asked her to have a repeat xray after 2 mos. Im sure na hindi nakakahawa yun, but ang sabi ng pulmunologist it takes awhile lang to completely heal. so malaki yung chance na mag sputum test ka , but then again, have faith.. and pray malay mo the moment u have your medical ok na lahat. hello... Just pray na things will be ok by the time na magpapamedical ka na. You can bring your xray result from a different doctor,syempre dapat yung ok. They would ask you questions like, have you ever had a TB or do you live with anyone with TB? Then, if you don't say, No, honestly. Drink milk before you have your exam as well, who knows it might help. Good luck.

GOD IS GOOD hindi niya tayo pababayaan at kahit mag antay kaman nang ganun katagal,lahat may katapusan,matatapos din yan.basta manalig ka lang.kasi yan ang nagpapatibay satin ang mga pagsubok.kaya mo yan my dear! lahat may solosyon okey! i love you! dont say na masisiraan ka na nang bait naku ha! sa mental naman ang abot mo diyan joke.dont worry my dear everything will be okay!

if slec finds a scar in your xray, they will let you do a 3 day sputum test and then will let you wait 2 months for the culture test results. after 2 months, if the culture results are negative, then you can have the immunizations and then they will give you a new interview date. even if you bring your own doctor's medical report, slec will not honor it. just go with the flow, do whatever they need you to do, im sure youll have a negative result so dont worry.

joy, thank you talaga sa reply mo...i love you too sis! napatawa mo ako don ha! also thank you kasi pinapagaan at pinapatatag mo loob ko... my husband keeps telling me relax but girl how could i? can't really help it...it really freaks me out parang OMG hindi ko yata matatanggap na babagsak ako sa medical at ngayon pa!... anyway, i never had any TB history so im not worried about this one but the fact that my x-ray is not clear due to my pneumonia OMG parang gusto kong mag lupasay! but you're right, GOD is GOOD at andyan lang siya para satin...

maybe you could do a repeat x-ray after your antibiotic treatment, not really needed if you are improving clinically, pero for your peace of mind you could do that, a repeat x-ray would probably show resolution of the previously seen infection, saka at SLEC they are asking if you have previous x-ray and they would ask you to bring it kung may suspicion dun sa x-ray na kinuha nila, just a suggestion, don't worry ok lang ang repeat x-ray kasi low radiation lang yun

Hello, thank you for sharing your daughter's case...when doctor told me regarding my x-ray result I was not worried coz he said I'll be fine...but then as I was reading on vj about medical so then I realized that pneumonia might be a prob kaya nastart na akong mag-worried na baka maging problema yong pagkakaroon ko ng pneumonia...glad nag-post ako ng question here...I really hope and pray na maging ok lungs ko before ako mag-medical sa st. lukes...asawa ko told me to have a new x-ray and see if the medicines that I took for 1 week helped...just wondering kung mayron bang bumabagsak sa sputum test? and ano nangyayari kapag ganun? what is the doctor advise usually?

hi pinayamerican, thanks...i'll going to have a new x-ray either today or tomorrow and see kung merong pagbabago sa result since i took meds ng isang linggo...doctor prescribed me 4 different kinds of antibiotic and really hope na maging ok result ko next time...I had medical exam multiple times b4 when I was still employed and I never I had any problem with it....never had TB nor a spot...anyway, Im just curious, effective ba talaga ang pag-inom ng milk before x-ray?
