You should be able to get detailed phone bills whether you are using a well-known phone company or a local phone company. Some phone companies will provide you the detailed phone bills (whether you subscribed for online or paper statements) for free and some will charge you a small fee every month for the detailed billing. I used an online phone card (I prepay for it online) and can make calls from any pre-entered phone or use a pin and I can obtain a statement of all the calls I made with the phone card every month. Perhaps you should try it too if it's not too late (www.idphonecard.com). Hope this helps and best lucks to you.

Fair Point can't provide this information for you because they are your phone company. You used a calling card, so Fair Point didn't complete the connection. You need to contact the company you get your calling cards from.

It's generally not a good idea to provide evidence of money sent, either from you to your husband, or from your husband to you. Either way, it smells fishy to the CO. If he sends you money then they suspect he's paying you to get him a visa. If you send money to him then they suspect he's scamming you for financial and immigration benefits. Lots of us send money to our SO's, for whatever reason, but it's something best not disclosed to the consulate. It doesn't make good evidence, and it raises a lot of questions.

Do you and your husband communicate any other way? Email? Instant messenger? Letters or cards?

I did the same. We still use this to call family and friends and you can get a detailed statement online. I use a card called "Continetal" from the website "Penny Boss"

I used, or should say "brought" evidence of sending money to my fiancee but they never looked at it. I have heard that some consulates take a dim view of this. Check the regional forums. I cannot say if it is good or bad for Kiev, because they said "enough" long before we got to those.

i'm really confused about the money receipt now, i also think that it might be not a good evidence, but when they first sent him an interview appointment they asked him to bring photos, emails, phone bills, money receipt... we have to make sure of this point before sending anything...thanks.

Like most things, this can be viewed differently from one consulate to another. A lot depends on the country. Some of the former Soviet states and a few countries in Africa are well know for money scams directed at people in the US and Europe, and consulates in those countries tend to take a dim view on money sent to beneficiaries there. This tends to be less of an issue in southeast Asia and the Pacific islands, but people still recommend against presenting the receipts to the consulates there. I've also heard the argument that it's different when the couple are married, and that the consulate might expect that they would support each other financially. I haven't seen anyone show that this was really true at any specific consulate, though.

Your case is unusual, because you say your husband sent money to you. Frankly, I have no idea if the consulate is going to view this positively or negatively. Maybe you should ask this question in the MENA forum where people have specific experience with your consulate. Did your husband go to Damascus?

yes my husband did his interview in Damascus and the CO requested more proof of relationship now, that's why we need to send new proofs like money receipt. but he has to ask about the counslate their if they suspect about money receipts.

I hope you're not saying he's going to call the consulate and ask them.

You should ask this question in the MENA forum. People there have more experience with the consulate in Damascus. Whether that consulate views money receipts suspiciously or not, I don't think they make very good evidence of an ongoing relationship. More than anything else, they want to see proof that you're genuinely in love with each other. I think the best evidences of these are time spent together, observance of traditions and customs, and communications.

Time spent together means trips you've taken to Iraq, or trips he's taken to the US. The more trips and cumulative time together, the better. As evidence, you need payment receipts for the tickets, boarding passes, copies of stamped visas or entry/exit documents from your passport, etc.

Observance of traditions and customs will vary from one country and culture to another. For example, is a formal engagement ceremony customary in his country, culture or religion? If so, did you have a ceremony? Did any of your family attend? In some countries, not having the traditional engagement ceremony can dramatically reduce your chances of getting a visa (I know - my fiancee is in one of those country's). As evidence, you need photos, receipts for any costs associated with the ceremony or party, etc.

Communications means cards and letters, email, instant messenger chat sessions, telephone calls. For evidence you need the cards a letters (including envelopes with postmarked dates), printouts of emails and chat session logs, and itemized telephone records.

Unfortunately, you have to think about much of this evidence before you start collecting it. As you found out, the company you get your calling cards from won't give you an itemized record of your calls. If you'd known this long ago, you could have selected a different brand of calling card. You'll need to try to make this up with other types of evidence like the examples above. Submit whatever evidence you can come up with. It would probably help if you can be there in Syria when he returns to the consulate. This would also give you an opportunity to collect more "time together" evidence.
