Wow, so cool, so happy to hear that news! Chuc mung! one week fron now i will be in your shoes, standing outside the consulate waiting anxiously, hehe, my fiance's K1 interview is June 4th 9:30am.

Wow Good Luck Matt! That's the same day my wife will pick up her visa, June 4th on Thursday, but she's picking it up at 3:00pm though. I wish you a lucky and successful interview like how ours was.

Congrats again Dai and thanks for the info. I will pass this on to my wife so she has an idea of what kinds of things they ask. Do you think the person that helped you to organize for interview made a difference? We have a lawyer but am wondering. Do you have any idea how much a ticket back to the U.S. is? It sounds like you just hung out accross the street the whole time, thats probably what I will do. You guys Take Care!

I bought a 1-way ticket for Hien on China Airlines for $572 SGN-SFO (could buy the same ticket on-line for $479 but she does not have a credit card in her name). Then another $119 for SFO-BOS on United (on-line no problem with United). All in $691.

03-04-2009 : NVC has received the Choice of Agent DS-3032 (Online)

03-04-2009 : IV Application Processing Fees $400 (Online)

03-07-2009 : DS-230, and I-864 Sent (by USPS)

Friggin awesome Dai. I am so happy for you both and can't wait till you both come here and take y'all out for dinner. I say that the Golden corral is in order and my treat. I am sorry that I have been real busy working so much lately fixing up this house and turn it into a business for my wifes Aunt and Uncle that I missed all this. Now hurry up and come back home and get your wife on the road to becoming a Texan.

Thanks! It's not a problem. We had our dinh hon ceremony at a chua in Hue City, and the nha su who presided over the ceremony is apparently pretty well known. It might not be as good as being recorded in the So Gia Dinh Cong Giao, but for Buddhists in Hue it's a pretty big deal! Maybe it will help us.
