I got a cheap little bidet thingy attachment, it was painless to install but whoa on the water pressure and shockingingly cold on the sphincter!!! whoaaaaa moya! I think I might invest in a model with heat...

Anyway my family loves it too and I hate doin' the 2 anywhere without some water and soap access.

my next question is how much water gets on the floor with these sprayers? I know when I was in syria the bathroom floor was always wet.

Actually, none. My husband must be an expert , but I conclude it must all be in the ' position '.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I try to get hubby to acclimate to the western world but some habits just die hard.

He hasn't suggested installing anything but I have heard of something...others here may know better.

It is rather messy but he resorts to his mena ways in that department. I mean in Maroc their floors are tile and always wet and slippery and dirty and all that. Mother right there cleaning it all up. Well water from shower, I can understand from time to time but the splashing of water due to toileting and putting on hair gel just makes me grossed out.

Nothing like sitting on a wet toilet

It kinda makes me laugh but I really think for him, using toilet paper is alien. He just doesn't know how to do it right.

Nagi....we need to talk

We all use the sprayer in our home. Including my son who is 9 and daughter 11. We have no issues with the water in the floor from that because you can spray it directly where it needs to go. Our floor issues are from hubby's ablution messes he makes.

I haven't been a toilet paper girl for decades. Instead I used wipes. Now that I've experienced a bidet (and tissue to dry), I can't imagine doing it any other way.

I learned the necessity of testing unfamiliar bidets first - the hard way - with soaking wet clothes.

One in Alex I sat down and turned the one on in the Starbucks there. I swear it shot me across the room and I slipped and fell in the floor. When I walked out I was really the laughing stock of the place. I looked like I had been in a water balloon fight.

A potty training your husband thread. Wow. :jest: I think I'll just buy my husband some wet wipes for starters. Whenever we get a place of our own I suppose we can discuss bidet options. I'm not looking forward to the floor always being wet and dirty though. He's messy enough leaving the counter top around the sink soaked.

Hubby got here in December 2005. I had hygenic wipes on the back of the toilet that I explained to him were the best I could do at the time. They ran out and I forgot to get more so he had to learn how to use the tp. after about 2 years (with very very few complaints) I found a mini plant waterer that's just got a straight spout and it's half the size of the regular watering cans. He just loves it and has been happy as a clam since then. No water gets on the floor. yay!

I have been looking for a small version of a watering can since hubby got here- we are renting currently, and so the bidet would not exactly work... we do have a longer moveable hose thinggy from the shower that would reach to the toilet no worries, but I think it scared him on his first attempt! I think I only know of once that he actually used it! As far as a water mess.... OH MY GOSH! yes yes yes! we have water all over the sink board, toilet seat, and floor from one end of the bathroom to the other.. good thing he's at work all day or I'm sure he'd be blaming the kiddos for the wet mess-- In any case, still searching out the mini watering can, using a large mug I brought home from the hospital when I had my first born!----Ohhhhh! by the way- not that i think the bathroom thread is the one to spread the news on .... probably is some kind of bad omen, but we are gonna be back in the hospital with a new arrival the end of November beginning of December!!! so much for waiting to get our feet under us again! lol!---Take care kiddos!Amy
