I emailed the Montreal Embassy, and asked very nicely if we had an interview date yet.Only to get a response of..You're on a 4-6 month waiting list.Just when you think there's a light at the end of the tunnel. :(

My own wait is about the same...

sucks - it flew through USCIS and NVC.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

There seems to be a long wait in CA and the UK (rest of 'western' countries are more normal).

Ironically we sucked going through USCIS, but got the interview 4 weeks after NOA2.

Thailand also appears to be at a standstill as people who returned Packet 3 over two months ago are still waiting. However, recently people were getting interviews scheduled within two weeks of returning the forms. I am a believer in Karma, so we'll just make the best of this wait.

I had called several times about my interview date and got a very unpleasant operator who informed me it would be another 3-4 months. Then the following week I had my interview date when I called again.

Yikes. Quell la problem? I am trying to get a K-2 interview set up in Kiev and they have not even opened dates in June after June 19! They have appointments available THIS WEEK as of this morning and say maximum 5 days unless you want it later! I want it June 25 and they said call back tomorrow!

At least you know you're just crossing your fingers for that interview date!!!!! It seems K-1'ers fly through USCIS and NVC and wait long for an interview, but CR1/K3'ers wait WAY too long for USCIS/NVC and within 2-3 months we have an interview? Wish it would all be the same wait time....that would be nice!

They probably give you that automated response so you'll stop asking, but I'm guessing you should at least get an interview before then! Look at some other people's timelines and see what their wait time was, hopefully it gives you some hope! :)
