Hi guys, i just had my interview today. I passed. the whole interview took place less than 5 minutes. after the questioning. She tells me that I will get the visa in 10 days and when i get the documents i have to go to the us immigration at the canadian side to verify my identity. "I did not get the welcome to america" paper. I am confused what does that mean to verify my identity? thanks

Not sure what she meant about the identity verification. Perhaps she was just referring to the POE when you give them your sealed envelope. I didn't receive a welcome letter either but the approval was enough for me!

Congrats!!!!! Really weird you didn't get the "Welcome to America" letter! What visa did you file for? You should get the sealed envelope and your passport back, that'll be good enough to verify your identity! The "welcome" paper was nothing but general info on getting the package, what to do, when you cross, etc. In the express post envelope will be a lot more info for you.

Once you use you visa at the border you are free to come back to Canada, no problem.

The brown envelope, package, you present to the border person when you cross in to the U.S. - just don't open it :)
