in question number 1,

I, _______(petitioner name)_____, am the sponsor submitting this affidavit of support because (check one box):

1) i am the petitioner. i filed or am filing for immigation of my relative

should i check #1 as above or something else as i will have my wife sponsoring this thing with me as my income alone may not do it....i understand she will be filing out i-864A but i still have to fill out i-864 so what do i do for this question?

*** I know San Diego Inside Out - ask me for details***

Hi Rajthebam:

Yes, that's the option you need to check. You are the petitioner in your parents' case.

I petitioned both of my parents and I filled out I-864 form while my husband filled out I-864A form. I checked the first option because I was the petitioner.

Good luck!
