I'm just getting started in this process, and I'm wondering for some advice about where to send the I-129 packet. I currently live in Connecticut (Vermont Service Center), but I'll be moving to Michigan in about 1 month (California Service Center). I wasn't sure which Service Center I should send my packet to, so I called USCIS. They told me I actually need to send it to Chicago...Is this right? I haven't seen this information anywhere on these websites? Does anyone have some advice? Thanks!

there is a difference between an I-129 and an I-129F.... An I-129 is a petition for an non immigrant worker... and I-129F is a petition for alien fiance(e)

I-129F's go directly to either CSC or VSC....

Thanks--so which one should I send it to? I don't want to send it to Vermont and then do an address change one month later if that will slow down the process. Should I just send it right away to California? I appreciate your help.

If you have an address in Michigan you can use today, go ahead and use it. If not, you either wait until you do or file with Vermont. No need to change address or service center after filing. Your fiancee will simply indicate your new address on the later visa applications and you will do so on your affidavit of support. Make sure your mail gets forwarded.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
