How many cards do you think the facility in Corbin, KY produces on a daily basis? Now compare that to how many AOS cases get approved/ card production ordered on a given day. I guess it is a trivia :) but I am sure USCIS would have that statistic somewhere on its website.

yeah I think so too but not until after a month or so ...it'll be easier then for them to give out an average on about how many cards get produced per month in relation to how many get ordered....I'm hoping that since we seem to be one of the first ones affected, that we should get ours soon.

My card production letter was dated April 17th and I still don't have my physical green card. When I called the automated line it said that production had been ordered on May 21st which was over the 30 days. Hopefully I'll have the actual card by tomorrow, or sometime next week at the latest. Who knows what's going on there!

Was just thinking about the days...maybe it is not 30 regular days...maybe it is 30 business days. Anybody knows for sure?

Well, my CPO is still May 6th, and I do not dare to call them now. They might just put a new CPO May 29, and reset the time.

I dared call them:) A few days back, looking at the approval letter (the NOA for the I485) it says that the card should be received within 3 weeks. On the 21, when the 3 weeks have gone, I called, and the "helpful" staff answering the lines at USCIS read to me what's on the USCIS's web site for the application, where it says that I should receive the card in 30 days. So I have been "advised" to wait, and call back if the card is not here in the 30 days.

I guess, if I would have asked her about the status on the I130, she would have said that the application is not yet approved, that the case is pending, cause that's on the website. However, I have the approval letter on the I130 too, so USCIS's help-line is a waste of the taxpayer's money, as seen from the point of view of a person with internet access.

11/17/08 : Application sent (I-130, I-131, I-485, I-765)

11/18/08 : Official receipt of documents stated on I-797C (Signature for receipt at USCIS was on 11/17/2008 at 10PM)

11/28/08 : NOA Received ( I-797C) for all 4 forms (forms issued on 11/26/2008)

12/18/2008: LUD on I-130, I-131, I-765

01/29/2009: Bio done

01/29, 30/2009: LUD on I485 and I765

2/10/2009: issued AP, valid 1 year for multiple entries.

2/23/2009: Got EAD card

3/8/2009: LUD on all applications. Shows approval of I131 and I765, still pending on I130, I485.

04/28/2009 at 9:30 AM: Interview. Told to wait 90 days for a resolution by mail.

05/01/2009: Card production ordered.

05/06/2009: Received approval NOAs for I130 and I485 (welcome notice, 10 years card). I130 still shows case received and pending.

06/18/2009: got the 10 years validity card. Process length: 213 days since sending the applications.

No RFE at all along the process.

Yea, I called on Wed and the told me the same thing... I told her about the Welcome Letter and that it says 3 weeks.. and guess what? She made me read the letter!!! I thought it was pathetic... Then she told me that i have to wait 30 days to receive the Green Card because that's what it says online (she was reading it from my case on the uscis website..). I dont even know why I called... what she told me i knew it already.

This is unbelievable I called today since it has been 30 days since I have had my card production ordered on April, 30 and they want me to fill out a I-90 form for a card that was never sent in the first place?

How ridiculous is that?

Has anybody who have had their card production ordered over the past 30 days been told the same thing?

Do they expect us to wait another 5 or 6 months until we get the physical card?

Posted

It is probably going to happen. It seems that CPO problems started at the beginning of May, and you are here with the earliest CPO mail. I have 6 more days to wait, and I bet they do the same thing. We will see. I will try to have a nice weekend, go offline, and not check e-mail till Monday. I wish a good luck to all of us.
