Hi to All,

My wife is in India and she has lived in UK for year and a half and we have to do the PCC for UK. I thought she already got the papers but found out that she had the CRB clearance. We have already ordered for the ACRO clearance........ and this might take around 7-10 days. In the mean time I am hoping for the IV bills to appear online and sending the DS230. Should I send the package without ACRO , but with CRB clearance. Will this create a RFE........

Has anyone had success sending in the CRB UK papers instead of the ACRO......with the DS230?

Any advice will be appreciated

Thanks

Best Wishes for you and your loved ones

NP

Are you paying the $400 IV bill to NVC and sending this to NVC? If so then you are NOT doing a K-3 as where you posted this.

If you pay the $70 and then $400 to NVC you are doing a CR-1 or IR-1 immigrant visa, if you interview for K-3 and use that and adjust status, the $$$ paid to NVC for the Immigrant visa is an extra expence.

I would recommend doing the NVC process for CR-1/IR-1 and either postpone any K-3 interview, and simply interview for CR-1 or IR-1 visa, this gets you the green-card upon entry to the USA.

If a mod could move this to the NVC or the UK forum you'd get more answers I think.

I haven't submitted my package yet, or read about anyone who's tried sending it without the ACRO, so this is just speculation, but here goes...

I think you will definitely get an RFE for the ACRO. That's the one that's required, that's the one they want, that's the only one they will accept. I haven't read anything about anyone adding things to their file PRIOR to an RFE but I think it'd be better for you to just wait the few days until you get the ACRO and send the whole package together. If you give them the chance to give you an RFE you're giving them permission to add on many weeks to the processing. They probably won't take that long, but it gives them more leeway than you probably want.
