USCIS case status...?

I have a simple question...

The other day I received our NOA 2 in the mail (we are beyond excited). I’m just a little confused because the USCIS website still has us as being approved for the NOA 1. Is this normal? I would have thought the USCIS case status would have changed once we got approved for the NOA 2. Has anyone else experienced this? Does the status change once it goes to NVC?

Don't bother looking at the USCIS website. It is pretty much worthless. I have heard of people already having their green cards and their status was never changed. So don't worry about the website too much. And congrats on your NOA2. I also just received mine in the mail just recently.

Posts like this give me hope that even though I'm not getting an email approval, or seeing an update on the website, I might be secretly approved. I'll have to look into that tomorrow.

So... if I call the customer service line, would they have the "real" updated status, or do they see the same thing on the USCIS website? I'm wondering who to call to find out if I've been approved.

i think u will just receive the approval letter in the mail but it could be different for u i went on the uscis website everyday but it never updated lol and even called customer service rep after i had gotten the approval letter to ask them a question they were like well ur case is still pending im like no its not i already got the approval letter! lol so u never know!
