Hello there! Please help me seek answers to my concerns. My husband and I are about to file for an adjustment of status, and I-693 (medical and vaccination record) is required.

(1) I am currently pregnant, and my OB does not want me to receive any shots and said these can wait until the baby is delivered. We are going to send the AOS documents this week. My OB will write a letter waiving all these vaccines.

(2) I have spoken with a civil surgeon's office and just told me to bring the "waiver" from the OB. How ill this affect my AOS application?

(3) I entered the US on a working visa 3 years ago (I had a medical examination that time as a requirement for overseas workers). I don't have my record of vaccination with me (form DS 3025 I guess for those who entered with K1 visa?). I don't think my mother has kept the record. What should I do?

(4) In 2 months time I would have delivered my baby already. And by that time, the application perhaps is still pending. Would USCIS require me to have another medical examination (as I am no longer pregnant by then) before they approve my application?

Help (and suggestions) from you would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much!

I think if you have an exam now doing all the bloodwork, etc components with a waiver on the immunizations, then you wouldn't do another after the pregnancy. They might require immunizations after the pregnancy...perhaps to show at your interview. Can your mother gather any of your childhood records from the doctor, your school, somewhere? It would be useful.

Thanks for the response. Obtaining old records is the problem. I wish my mom had kept them. Actually, she's still trying to look for them til now. I would not have much trouble if the records were kept... :)
