We are about to start this journey. I need to know if its even worth it. I don't want to go threw all the trouble and get turned down and heart broken . Little back ground.

Both divorced. He * US* has a recent charge for domestic , his x wife lied. He is now not working at the moment. Me, * CA* I have been home maker for the last 4 yrs. So no record of taxes.

Is there another avenue to take? If this doesn't seem do~able.

no money, no honey... so he needs to resolve that or get someone else who is qualified to be your sponsor

the "domestic" does not cause the USC to be ineligible to petition. It may be a question that is answered on the I-129F. As long as he has fully disclosed this to you then it should be just an inconvenience.

aliens financial/employment/tax situation is not a direct concern of the US immigration process.....

They won't care about your husband's recent domestic charge, and as the Canadian you don't need to show your tax information. He will though.

Your fiance will need to show that he can support you with an income or assets and/or get a co-sponsor to show that you will not be a financial burden when you get there. So that's something to keep in mind.
