She's also wouldn't be the first Hispanic on the Court. Why do they keep saying she would be? Don't journalists do research anymore?

Portugese people aren't Hispanic. They're eurotrash.

Why do you hate Portugese?

Because they're not Hispanic.

And because they're Eurotrash.

*looks around for Portugese*

I think they might have to change the outfits at scotus now. Something more flattering.

Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist had racing stripes. The justices can pick their own chairs, and choose their own robes.

They do!!!

This was the NPR Wait Wait Don't Tell Me episode in which Justice Stephen Breyer was the guest, and he divulged that his robe was synthetic. Paula Poundstone ribbed him mercilessly for that. Quite funny.

They also did a piece about the etiquette of seating journalists which was funny, and revealed that one of the judges never speaks, which is probably taking fence sitting to its ultimate destination. I can

't remember the fellows name though...

Oh yeah, when asked why he rarely speaks it was revealed that was because people make fun of his accent - all most bizarre and reminds me of the quirkiness of the House of Lords.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .
