I was googling minuteman and learned there are groups who are not biased towards Democrats and Republicans.

Also know as true patriots. That is, people who can put their political ideology aside in order to protect what is best for their country.

But is that even possible? I think it's a very nice idea...but if it possible to put your political ideology completely aside when trying to make decisions for the best of ones country? Maybe it is, maybe not. But it sounds hard.

It is if people started looking at issues logically rather than after it has been intertwined and processed through their own ideology. Illegal Immigration is a good example of that where some would rather see the collapse of America than to see our leaders enforce and put in place laws that are simply on par with that of most other first world countries.

But in reality with so many points of view, probably impossible.

petty crime is a form of moral turpitude. people get deported for this all the time. look at rajiv's immigration board for stories of indians who have experienced this. most of the threads are started by young guys who are HB1, F1, or family based GC from childhood follow to join, and have been convicted of shoplifting, drunk and disorderly, procuring prostitution, or drunk driving.

some of the topic starters are here on 10 year GC and are looking to get citizenship so that they can sponsor fiancee or parents, but are advised to wait at least 5 years after most recent conviction before attempting to USC, assuming that their GC is good for that long.
