I know this has been posted before but cant remember the answer ... when it says Code 3 on your Biometrics Appointment letter does that mean that you will have your fingerprints done for both AOS and EAD?

I have read where Code 3 means both fingerprinting for AOS, EAD. Our letter has Code 3 on it.

In the top left corner of the Biometrics letter under where it says ASC APPOINTMENT NOTICE there is a little box that says CASE TYPE. In that box it should say the Forms that you're going to have the Biometrics taken for. EG. Mine shows I-485 and I-765. Yes, it shows Code 3 too on the right hand side. I think they'll take the biometrics for both EAD and AOS.

Actually i doubt that code three is for EAD and AOS since my biometrics letter also says code 3 but i did not apply for EAD... otherwise i have no idea what code three is..

If I recall correctly, when you get to the biometrics office and fill out their form there, you will notice (on the bottom I think it is) a spot where THEY mark whatever your NOA states, such as Code 1, Code 2 or Code 3.

It also tells what each is for.

One of the codes is for just fingerprints, one is for just photos and one (code 3) is for BOTH to be done

If you notice, also at the bottom of your letter there are two bar codes, and one has your AOS receipt number, and the other your EAD receipt number (from your NOAs), but when you go to the ASC, they will give you another form. Make sure you mark also theI-131 (AP), and they will include it on your biometrics. At least they did so with me.
