i called my congressman today and the advisor said that you are still within the 6 month time frame...that sucks...

Sucks for everyone espically now everyone around our NOA1 time has got something and yet we have nothing! Why pick on certain people. Our case certainly wasn't unusual in anyway, no pre-marriage's, pretty much together throughout the entire duration of our relationship, She has lived in a quite a few places over the last 10 years but I don't see that being an issue. The longer this is going on for the more nervous were getting about never getting the visa. :(

Congrats to everyone who has theres btw

01/08/2009 - POSTED NOA1 to VSC

01/13/2009 - RECEIVED NOA1, Case Pending

02/06/2009 - TOUCHED - Finacee moved so I presume that was the reason for it

05/20/2009 - Contacted Congressman's Alan Grayson's Offices to ask for assistance on our case, He agrees

06/13/2009 - 5 months and nothing, not even from our congressman :( Were is our NOA2!!!!!!

06/16/2009 - Our congressman actually made contact us for the first time in 4 weeks only to tell us they had written our address down wrong so here we are, still stuck in limbo with not a clue what's happenening

06/17/2009 - Called NVC on a off chance they might have it and they do!!!!! Woop woop. All we need now is that hard copy and were set!

06/17/2009 - NVC send our visa and petition to the london embassy - My packet 3 is on the way, woop woop!

06/19/2009 - Recieved NOA2 in the post, dated 06/11/2009. The panicing is over.....for now

Maybe if anything at all comes out of this: prayerfully it jarred USCIS to pull my file and work on it now...

That's the same thing I'm hoping for. If my file was lost, they need to find it to respond to my Senator.

I asked my congressman for help almost 2 weeks ago and I still haven't heard from uscis or him. I've emailed him today and hopefully he will get back to me with some good news. I could do with some. Things are all so confusing at the moment, nobody really seems to know whats going on at vermont. Like something as simple as updating a website, I presume they employ individuals who are responsible for that and I honestly thought they would have the common courtesy to reply to a congressman! I'm starting to think they've lost our case or something.

I called up my Congressman's office and they seemed pretty helpful. They told me to type up my situation and fax it to the office in Washington DC. I feel that I do have a legitmate situation because I am transfering to a new duty station so hopefully I will sreceive some information about my case. Better yet, hopefully when I go home today the mailbox will have a NOA2 in it.

This just in........

I think it must depend on who your congressman is--I am extremely impressed with Senator Lamar Alexander--his office is wonderful--I emailed them and I received an email AND a personal phone call at work the next day and his secretary has phoned me every day since. Of course she said she was told our case is still within the 6 month processing time--but she's wonderful--she said to call her immediately if we have not received it by June 30th

oh and I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOO happy for those of you who have finally gotten yours !

Okay so I know Im not at my 6 month mark yet but this process is beginning to make me feel so hopeless. It looks as if more and more February filers are getting their approvals while some of us from January are still waiting. Dont think my NOA2 will ever come... And the horrible thing is we cant do anything about it and no one wants to listen to how USCIS unfairly processes applications out of order. Somedays this just gets to be to much... :(

I know how you feel mstamiz2much - I filed at the sametime as you and still nothing yet for me either. My congressman hasnt even got back to us yet depsite it being 2 weeks since I asked him to enquire. And its true people not caring how uscis process cases out of order - but the people who don't care tend to be the ones (I said tend) to have there noa 2 very smoothly and effectivly and are probably already at the stage were there nearly about to enter. Its amazing how such a big government structure can't even organise a proper filing system on first come first serve basis. And I wonder if they know how many hundreds of lives they are messing up and around with because of it. The worst thing about this is the rediculous system in which they are being processed - I mean come on FEB PEOPLE ARE GETTING THERES without even bothering to complete january's or even some decembers! - good for them but I hardly deem that to be proper conduct on behalf of the uscis!

Fingers crossed extra hard for myself and everyone that this unjustice doesn't continue for much longer

Yeah I agree. I could see it for the 'few' that require extra processing or security checks but it seems MANY are not processed in order nor does there seem to be any reason for it. I also don't understand how every once in awhile you'll see a case that for no reason at all (not expedited) gets approved in an unbelievably short time compared to everyone else with the same filing time. Their whole system makes no sense. I hope that the ones left behind get their approvals shortly.

I heard back from my senator's office a few days ago. He said that USCIS responded that my petition should be processed in the next 30 days... Okay, Im at like 4 months 21 days- in 30 days I will be pushing 6 months.. So I honestly think they just told him Im within the 6 month processing time still... He just turned it around to try to passify me...

Sometimes the senators office doesn't even bother to look up your case when they see that you aren't past the 6 month mark and give you a general "30 or 60 day" response. 2 of my senators actually printed the email VSC gave them and sent it to me, so at least I knew that they weren't just saying this out their butt-so I hope. You guys will know how I feel when you start seeing March approvals like I'm seeing February.
