Hello,

I received the NOA1 on April 22nd 2009. I haven't sent the I-129F package yet. Is it necessary to do that step or not?

Thanks,

--Abdul

How can u recieved NOA1 if u havn't sent I-129F yet? Usually after u send in yr I-129f with the G-325a then u will recieve a NOA1 telling u that yr case is pending and wait for further notice.

He's talking about the I-129F for a K3 visa petition, not a K1.

Abdul,

It depends on your embassy. In most cases, CR1 and K3 visas are processed by both the service center and the NVC in equal amounts of time. But it all depends on your embassy, do more research to see if they make appointments faster for K3 visas than CR1s, chances are they are processed in the same amount of time. If that's the case then just let the I-130 go by itself and forget about the I-129F. But if you find out that a K3 is processed significantly faster, then send the I-129F.
