I know you guys may think I'm weird....

But when I went for my medical at Seiden & Assoc. I met a girl applying for (I think) a K1....

We chatted briefly while waiting for our XRay...I think she was moving to NY or NJ...

I just wanted to touch base and see if she was on here, and how things worked out.

She is the one who told me about VJ, as I had never heard about it before.

I ran home and signed up, and have been on here ever since. I just wanted to thank her, if it wasn't for her, I never would have discovered this helpful site.

If you feel more comfortable, you could always PM me too.

I hope things worked out for her and perhaps she already moved :)

Don't worry, we already thought you were wierd  I kid, I kid!!

Where would I be without VJ!? It helped me from beginning to end in this process and still does....

I found out about it in the wierdest way, it was right before I sent my K-1 package and a friend on FB moved from Toronto to California. A friend of HIS wrote on his wall and said something like "You fell in love with an American too? You should check out visajourney.com" so I checked it out myself and have been here ever since :)

I hope this person reads it and gets back to ya!

Hi Poprocks,

It's me! Sorry I'm a bit late in answering, I just got back from my honeymoon :)

I had suspected you were you, but wasn't entirely sure until I saw your new profile pic and read this post. It was kind of chaotic at the Dr.'s office that day and I didn't get to say good-bye. So glad you found the site and that the rest of the process has been smooth for you. Looks like you'll be joining us in the Northeast imminently!

I don't know what I would have done without VJ! Am actually going to SSN office and sending in my AOS application today, and am on here doing some last minute checks to make sure I have everything.

Another jersey girl! WOOOOOOO!!!!

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard
