Our Introduction

Hello Everyone,

I didn't notice this thread when I first came to the forums and instead just started searching the other threads. It's nice to find this one here and I look forward to getting to read others history

I am woman of this dynamic duo and am the USC. My fiance is a citizen of UK, but has lived as a legal resident of New Zealand for the past 8 years. To bring you to the present, I need to hit some ancient history. I began dating my first husband when I was 17 years old. We had two lovely daughters together... but after 13 years, things were rocky. We were both bored and had grown so far apart.

He and I had always been gamers so we turned to our security blankets. He played his 360... and I goofed off online all day. In 2007, I stumbled across Second Life and joined for some fun and to meet people. In May of 2008, I met my now fiance. He and I spent hours together online chatting and having exciting, stimulating conversations. It was nice to have such an interesting and good friend.

As time went on, things with my husband deteriorated and led to divorce proceedings. In January of 2009, my now fiance came to see me for the first time. His first flight to see me only took about 30 hours of total travel time. We had a great two weeks together and I very much needed the break from dealing with what was happening on the home front. He returned home.

Things at home got more hectic and stressful and I was alone with my children 50/50 time in a big house that I couldn't manage the mortgage of on my own. My now fiance is a realtor and has a very flexible career. He decided to come back to the US on the VWP (visa waiver program) and spend more time with me.

While he was he we grew much closer together and realized that we wanted to be together. And that is what we are planning to do. He's in his last month of his 90 day period and we are making preparations to get married! We are both very excited and looking forward to getting to be together.

We know we have quite a journey ahead of us and I have been reading all the great information on the forums to learn all we can to be prepared.
