UK CR-1 FILERS

it's just some quick questions. note though that if you answer yes to any of them you should get a letter from your GP detailing as much as possible, otherwise the doctor at knightsbridge will hold your file until they can sign off on it. oh don't forget to bring your passport and a passport sized photo for them.

as for the second week with interview assignments, i've heard the same 2nd week rule but there have also been quite a few people over in the NVC forum who've gotten dates at the end of the month too so it couldn't hurt to give them a call just to see. ever hopeful, that's me. looks like even if all goes well at NVC i'm probably going to just miss that second week... darn!

thanks to all the new posters for the info.! its great to know its not just us doing this..lol

i've finally done my timeline thanks to the nudge from Blue..lol hope we all hurry through this process it would be great to spend my 1st anniversary with my wife instead of being at opposite ends of the earth.! make sure you all keep us posted on how your getting on, i'm hoping NVC has done something with our case today like forwarded it to london but as they only recieved it on the 19th im doubting it..lol

yeah.! rather than waiting for them to send the forms i e-mailed the info to nominate Rachel, there's some info about how to do it in the shortcut guides on here.!

oh yep yep! thanks i've done that, still waiting for them to accept it (or the hardcopy). hehe. i thought you just got lucky and they gave it to you without it. that'd be a neat trick.

this is probably a stupid question as i'm sure the answer is no... but... is there any way you can check with NVC online about your case like you can with USCIS?

you can't check online but you can call and speak to an operator. they'll know anything that's been added to your case and they can sometimes give you updates before they go into the automatic voice recording system which sometimes takes a day or more to update.

call (603)334-0700 press 1 and then 2 and you'll get an operator asking for your case number

also, since you're just waiting on a case complete now, you could try checking the online payment website. others have said that just before case completion the site won't let you log on anymore, so that'd be a good sign.

I'm sure my wife and I aren't the only one's and it would be great to hear from other people in the same boat as us.!

We first filed in november '08 and NVC recieved all our paperwork on the 19th of May so we're just waiting for NVC to finish with our stuff and forward them to London.

You aren't alone! My husband is a CR1. Case completed May first. Interview date is June 30th (2009).

I was the worse stalker in the world. I kept calling and calling. Plus, I gave them my email address for their records. I found out on May 5th from calling them that an appointment would be set. I received the appointment confirmation by email on May 12th. My husband received the appointment in the mail on May 21st.

I wonder if it counts as the second week because it's the second calendar week?

I'm so curious about how the scheduling happens and I've still got at least a month left- eek!

I am wondering about that too. I cant wait to get the date, my parents are on edge waiting to know the date of their interview so we can start looking around for flights and closing everything up in the UK.

Most frustrating having to wait until the 2 week of June.

here's a question for those with cases completed at NVC already. i just found a post from last fall from another UK CR-1er here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...t&p=2306880

they said their case was forwarded to the embassy after they got a case complete but before they got their interview date. i'm not sure if that's because they had been assigned an interview date and just didn't know or if it's because NVC really does send the case off to london once it's complete, even if it's still waiting on an interview date.

i ask because i've got a K-3 pending too so i'm going to try and flip that interview. if the case makes it to london in june rather than the end of july it'd be amazing!

so, does anyone know if their case was mailed off even if you haven't gotten the interview date yet?
