Well we have the entire packet ready but cant locate who to make the check out to, is it just the service center that we are sending it to or is it to the homeland security or something?

This question indicates you have not carefully read the I-129F instructions. There's no telling what other important details you may have missed as a result. Please do read the instructions. The answer to your question is there.

cashiers check to(us department of homeland and security)

There is no need for a cashier's check. A personal check is preferrable because you can easily determine whether and when it is cashed.

@ push, you are being very rude, we have gone over it 5 times and quadruple checked the package and everything is set. we havent missed anything and it does NOT state who to make the check out to in there anywhere. Neither of us can find it in the papers.

It is amazing how many people ask for the amount of payment, address and whom one writes the check out to.

People that have to do so should give serious thought about getting a lawyer to help!

I-129F instructions page 5 #2 under "What is the filing fee?" Yes, it's in there. If you can't find it, you haven't read carefully enough.

I repeat, if you have not carefully read the I-129F instructions there is no telling what else you've missed. It is my strong suggestion that you read them completely and carefully before filing the petition, no matter how careful you think you've already been.

Instead of waving your E-Peen's around help the guy out ... or don't even bother responding .. you just make yourselves look like smucks to everyone else ... let him find out later for himself if he missed something .. not belittle the guy .. the process is tiring enough as it is.

To the OP I will copy and paste the information you are asking for from the instructions from the USCIS website ..

http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-129Finstr.pdf

The filing fee for a Form I-129F is $455.00.

1. The check or money order must be drawn on a bank or other financial institution located in the United States and must be payable in U.S. currency; and

2. Make the check or money order payable to U.S. Department of Homeland Security, unless:

A. If you live in Guam and are filing your petition there, make it payable to Treasurer, Guam.

B. If you live in the U.S. Virgin Islands and are filing your petition there, make it payable to Commissioner of Finance of the Virgin Islands.

C. If you live outside the United States, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands, contact the nearest U.S. consulate or embassy for instructions on the method of payment.

NOTE: Please spell out U.S. Department of Homeland Security; do not use the initials "USDHS" or "DHS."

In a much nicer way I do suggest reading the link above and use it as a check list before sending your petition.

Please fill in your timeline, and which visa you're applying for. Every visa, and state the U.S. citizen is different so getting specifics will help us all give you the proper answers. It always helps the people who are familiar with the process to help the "newsbies" out. We were all there once, so no worries!

It definitely is easier to ask questions on the forums, and if you've read the guides over & over, then it's okay to ask.

Go to the USCIS web site and it'll give you more information. I found the link where it tells you exactly where to mail the I-129F!

THIS link gives you specific information:

Good luck!

Personally, I think its better to send in a correct package rather than find out the hard way (via a RFE) that you overlooked something.

There's no substitute for reading the instrustions yourself and following them explicitly. Seriously, if you can't find who to make the check out to in the instructions, you are going to have a lot of problems on your journey.
