remeber my dilema of where to mail the EAD? ya, its VSC NOT CSC. We rec'd the packet back stating that we mailed it to the wrong center. fun fun

the instructions are wrong and the link listed on uscis is correct. I need to let them know the discrepency for KY somehow :innocent:

what do you mean? we have to send the EAD to CSC not to the Chicago lockbox with the AOS packet?! Dont tell me i messed up again :(

BTW Lisa congrats, I hope you have a wonderful life with your husband in the states.

Don't take what I said wrong ... about the drifting ... I know very well that for some of you, with your spouses home, there is much catching up to do. Trust me, when Ksenia gets home, I will be the same way. It's only natural & I understand completely.

I miss our times together ... but on the other hand, am so happy for each of you that has finally made it through the biggest part of this immigration ####### and now you have you families together ... and that is truly awesome :thumbs:

btw ... we are shooting for July 8th to get my two lovely girls home :thumbs:

AND ... I am a texter ... so anybody that wants my celly ... PM me ;)

It is hard for me to be online at 6:00 PM PST (9PM EST) as I am usually picking hubby up from work at that time. PST is throwing me for a loop :blink:

Good Morning everyone!!! So its been a month since the wifey has entered the country, she is adjusting fairly well. I'm still waiting on the Greencard, I wonder what the hold up is...

How are you all doing??

How long does it normally take? Hope you get it soon.

I am sitting tight for now (no AOS)...waiting for NVC to assign an interview date for my IR1 interview. Any idea if I can do my medicals in the US for the interview in Canada?

no hun, you mail AOS to chicago. im filing EAD first and waiting to file AOS closer to our 2 yr anniversary so that Y gets the 10yr GC and we escape lifting conditions :)

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Just visited OB-gyn.. USA greeted me with consecutive infections.. :bonk:

Apr 6, 2009 - OUT OF A.P. !!! File being sent to Kiev !

May 5, 2009 - K3 interview in Kiev! APPROVED !!!

July 12, 2009 - ARRIVAL IN USA !!!

My wife had her interview on the 28th and to our surprise her passport showed up with her visa (and the mystery brown envelope) yesterday (second day after the interview !). We are trying to get our documents together for AOS now (making sure we have everything needed from India before we leave India).

We did give some thought to waiting a year to file AOS (so we can get the 10-year GC) but the only thing we don't like about it is having to wait another year for my wife to become a permanent resident. This pushes out the date when she becomes eligible for citizenship. In the interest of getting to the end of the overall journey (citizenship) we will be going for AOS as soon as we enter the US.

07/01/09 - I-485 and I-765 mailed

07/06/09 - USCIS received (date on NOA1)

07/13/09 - NOA1 received for both I-485 and I-765 !

08/08/09 - Biometric appointment

08/25/09 - AOS interview letter notice date

09/24/09 - AOS interview

10/03/09 - Received GC !!

Lisa - That sucks...but atleast you got the package back without them keeping it for 6 months and then telling you that it was sent to the wrong place.

Seren - I'm hearing that there are offices being shuffled around so its taking them longer to produce the GC and mail them out. It usuall takes 2-3 weeks after you receive the welcome letter, so im hoping to hear sometime this week.

Jen - How are you doing???

We just sent Diego's EAD too last week. The days are passing by so quickly, as we have so much to do. Right now we're on a plane to Puerto Rico- I have business here this week and D is tagging along.
