Stopping in to spread some {hugs} all around ... our little family seems to be drifting apart :(

Steve, we are still around.. It is just that it would really take some down to settle down and do some things first.. We would always keep in touch and set a date to chit chat when everybody is available.. :luv:

I promise to love you in good times and in bad, with all I have to give and all that I am, in the only way I know how -- completely and forever......

Hello everyone.

Sorry I haven't been online. Emergency flight to the family. My aunt (the one who was visiting with me) passed away! It was awful...it still is awful. So much to explain, I'll leave that for another time. So right now I'm just dealing with that, with my family.

When I get back home and to work, I will be able to post regularly.

Glad to see everyone is still around. A big welcome home to C and D! Welcome to the US and to Atlanta!

Everyone, I will catch up with you soon.

Steve, now that I have your text, when I get home and have time, I will text you, Lisa, and Jen. Then we can get online together and catch up. I miss you guys TERRIBLY!

Sorry to hear the news CnT! It must be rough with everything going on.

We do have to get together....I am living PST but thinking EST. I usually log on around 9PM and soon realise everyone is probably in bed.

Just posting to mention that my wife had her interview in Chennai today and got approved !:dance: Chennai is one of the consulates where the petitioner is allowed to accompany the beneficiary and so I was with her in the waiting room and was even asked a few questions in the initial screening. But both of us could not believe how smoothly everything went. My wife was hardly asked anything (just the wedding date) before she was told that she was approved. We were probably overprepared both in terms of documentation as well as having thought out every possible thing they could ask in a nightmare grilling scenario but I guess that is always better than being underprepared. It took us 10 long months to get to this point and we shudder to think that we still have POE, AOS, EAD, AP, removal of conditions and finally naturalization to deal with in the future. But at least for now my wife can join me in the US (we will be flying to the US on June 12).

Deepak & Roopa

Congrats Roodee....when and where is POE?

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Congrats Roodee....when and where is POE?

POE is Newark, NJ on June 12. Do K3 visa holders also get that mystery sealed package to carry to the POE ? If so, does that come along with the passport (when it is returned to us with the visa).

We are thinking about that. We are already 10 months into our wedding and so we won't have to wait the entire 2 year term of the K3 validity to apply for AOS.

Deepak

06/12/09 - POE at Newark (K3)

07/01/09 - I-485 and I-765 mailed

07/06/09 - USCIS received (date on NOA1)

07/13/09 - NOA1 received for both I-485 and I-765 !

08/08/09 - Biometric appointment

08/25/09 - AOS interview letter notice date

09/24/09 - AOS interview

Don't take what I said wrong ... about the drifting ... I know very well that for some of you, with your spouses home, there is much catching up to do. Trust me, when Ksenia gets home, I will be the same way. It's only natural & I understand completely.

I miss our times together ... but on the other hand, am so happy for each of you that has finally made it through the biggest part of this immigration ####### and now you have you families together ... and that is truly awesome

{hugs} around to all my friends here ;)

btw ... we are shooting for July 8th to get my two lovely girls home

AND ... I am a texter ... so anybody that wants my celly ... PM me ;)

Hi all! I miss you guys too! Things have been soooo busy. As Jen said, Diego got through POE in Atlanta really fast and with NO questions at all. He was shocked! We got into Hartford late Tuesday night and we're enjoying our time together. So far he is adjusting pretty well and my grumpy male cat is in love with him. It feels 100% natural to have him here. We sent his work permission out yesterday and will start the driver's license stuff soon. He has to do driver's ed. Poor Diego!

I can text too. Just PM me for my number. :star:

the instructions are wrong and the link listed on uscis is correct. I need to let them know the discrepency for KY somehow :innocent:
