I came across this online and I just thought it was very funny. Anyhow, please enjoy!

You know your husband is Egyptian when...

he insists that if you don't wear slippers in the house you will catch cold.

you find yourself making molikhiya, fatah or mashi when you are happy with him.

you can't tell if he's yelling because he's mad or just yelling when he's talking to his family on the phone.

you think "insha'Allah" means "if I can."

the biggest threat he makes to the kids is "the slipper".

he has stories of his own parents and "the slipper".

every story from his youth involves someone named Mohamad or Ahmed (or his name is Mohamed or Ahmed).

he never eats fish when he has a cold.

he drinks tea upon waking, when getting ready, when working... Well, he just drinks lots of tea.

your closet contains a box of things from Egypt to use when you need a last minute gift for someone.

you have at least one cartouche in your jewelry collection.

he has a great sense of humor.

everyone says "I have always wanted to go there!" when you tell them where he is from.

he gets steamed up when all the American depictions of Egypt are the guys in Giza or upper Egypt wearing jilbab.

he never says Alexandria, always Alex.

it isn't a meal if you don't offer your guest as much food and variety as the average American gets in a week.

almost everything you cook has cumin, coriander, onions, garlic, and bell pepper.

you have mastered the art of filo dough.

not only do you buy eggplant, you make more than one dish with it.

you know who Amr Diab and Tamer Hosny is, and you actually have at least one of their CD's.

you are truly loved by a man with a heart as big as the ocean

Blessed are the heart that can bend, they can never be broken - Albert Camus

When you start to say Habibi instead of sweetheart .when you say salam instead of hi or bye .

when you watch a movie with your Egyptian SO and you will find him staring at the bottom of the screen reading the subtitles .

Nothing's impossible . Nothing's unreachable .When I am weary you make me stronger

This love is beautiful .So unforgettable . I feel no winter cold when we are together .

Will you stand by me ?!!!Hold on and never let me go .

Will you stand by me?!! With you i know i belong . When the story gets told .

When day turns into night .I look into your eyes . I see my future now .All the world and its wonder

This love wont fade away. And through the hardest days . I will never question us .You are the reason my only reason.

I'm blessed to find what i need in a world loosing hope. you are my only believe .

You make things right every time after time.....

Will you stand by me ?!!!

I love you so much and i miss you so much more .

When you find yourself begging him to put things in the dishwasher instead of wiping them with a cold sponge dipped in soapy water... rinsing it in cold water and puttingW it back in the cupboard wet....

When he spends more time ironing in a week than you have in a month...

When the countertop and floor around any sink is perpetually wet...

When you realize that you are the only one who ever eats with a fork... and all the spoons are dirty...

When everything that is one day past the "use by date" is thrown out, but the left over meat from a week ago is JUST FINE!!!! Even if it has been left out on the counter for 3 hours...

When he hands you antibiotics after each sneeze...

When he spends 3 hours trimming his beard and moustache but won't floss his teeth...

When he sleeps on TOP of the sheets, not under them...

When he boils a quart of water on the stove for a small cup of tea and won't use the microwave because it's not healthy...

When he has 4 pairs of shoes: 1) Outside the house 2) Inside the house 3) in the bathroom 4) on the balcony..

When it's 120 degrees in the bedroom and he doesn't want the fan on because it will give him a cold...

When you have to boil his cotton underwear... and hang it outside... because dryers ruin the fabric

When he won't give out the house phone number to his friends because the phone number his wife answers is PRIVATE.

When you think it's normal for people to do U-turns in the middle of ANY ROAD, ANY TIME... (OK not in the USA...)

And this is JUST the beginning...

I think something is wrong with my husband. I need to show him these lists! I can't relate to any of them except the sugar in the tea but he rarely drinks it, humor at times, Mohamed/Ahmed (thats a given) and his heart :luv:

Hmmmm....he's NOT Egyptian me thinks...he even hates soccer. *GASP*
