Hi, i am a little concern about the interview because both my husband and i are students and we live with his parents, so we do not have a lease. Also, our ceremony was very short and simple with no honeymoon because we really did not have money for anything else. However we do have a bank account together, a cellphone account together, joint car tittle and insurance, a lots of pictures with family and friends. I really do not know what else to bring to prove that we are a bonafide marriage. Will this be enough or should i be concern? thank you for the advice. :)

You are fulltime students, and living with his parents will be fine. Infact it is proof that his parents are supporting the relationship. I would just get a letter of support from his parents. It doesn't hurt to bring a copy of your transcripts and a letter from admission proving that you attend school on a fulltime basis. They should be able to respect the fact that you didn't have the money for some lavish ceremony although I am sure it was beutiful. I wouldn't worry.

We got married on the front lawn by a neighbor who is a JP. We live where people go for honeymoons. No need to travel. The AOS went quickly and we did not have any JOINT property or utilities at the time of the interview. We DID have a joint checking account and joint car title and insurance. Didn't matter, no questions asked no evidence requested

Looks good to me. They also look at how you two interact with each other during the interview -

Loving couples, easy to see to people doing this everyday.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

I should think you would be fine with that. :)

We had a tiny wedding in front of the courthouse, by a retired justice. We had very little in the way of joint anything, as hubby didn't have an SS# when we filed. The IO was impressed by the picture books we brought. I think they do really read a lot into how you interact together. Good luck!

I think the suggestion of a letter from your in laws and others are great in addition to what you already have. I'm sure you guys will be just fine. From what I understand they don't expect you to have as much evidence as they would for your removal of conditions later on down the road since you would have had much more time as a married couple.

Good luck !! :D

How about 2008 Jointly Filed Tax Return ? ( Of course if any of you have worked in 2008 ).

Keep in your mind that Jointly Filed Tax Return is considered as one of the most important

primary evidences for bona fida marriage.

My wife is 23 and I am 22. My wife already graduated college and I am currently a student and we are living with my parents and don't pay rent or have a lease. We got approved in 5 minutes at the Newark, NJ office.

We brought:

joint credit card

joint bank account

2008 joint tax return

proof we are each others life insurance beneficiaries

proof she is on my horizon health insurance

joint cell phone bill

wedding pictures

wedding books (little books we left on the wedding tables for people to write any advice or to wish us luck)

receipts for engagement ring, wedding rings

The officer didn't want any pictures. He asked my wife what her birthday was, asked me how long i lived at my current address and then just asked for any joint bills or proof of marriage. All we had to give him were the items in bold. Like i said, we were approved in 5 minutes and are awaiting the green card in the mail. Good luck!! Don't stress because I did and it was over nothing! lol

WOW. We weren't really asked any questrions directly about this, we must obviously be a loving couple. :) But while shuffling papers the officer asked Alla, half jokingly I think "So how is Gary treating you?" Her answer?

"Good so far, really. But who knows? Tomorrow he could go crazy and kill all people around!" Thank you Alla. Maybe it was the convincing testimony.
