Can't say if it's for your embassy or his because you don't say whether you're the petitioner or the beneficiary!

Should be the US Consulate in the country where the BENEFICIARY lives. The US doesn't have any consulates in the United States. :P

You posted in the K1 forum and I assume that you are intending to file for the Fiance(e) visa. This letter would be used by both of you to affirm that you are willing and able to marry. Using the example form here on VJ ( http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;page=examples ) you will see notes as to which heading to use.

The first letters of intent are addressed to the Service Center where the USC will send the 129F petition. That depends on where the USC lives. The Instructions for the 129F list the filing locations. ( http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-129Finstr.pdf )

Read the Guides here on VJ as well as the example forms. They will really help you to familiarize with the process. Also the Regional forums can help you with specific info pertaining to your consualate.

Welcome to VJ.

Your question is not clear. is it for the petition? the interview? Are you the USC or foreign beneficiary?

If for the petition you both do one and sign it, address it to the service center you will use. If for the interview you both do one and sign them and address it to the consuloate you will use. You can use the VJ letter of intent verbatim (change names and addresses only) Please fill in your timeline

Definitely fill in your timelines so that people know what visa you're applying for, and where you're at, you'll get A LOT more helpful information along your journey!!! :)

The consulate would be in the beneficiary's country. For instance, I'm from Canada, my consulate was Montreal because of the visa I applied for.

If you're sending your I-129f petition then the letter is addressed to the USCIS office handling your case. You can find both addresses (CSC,VSC) listed on the instruction form for the I-129f .

You will both need to send updated letters of intent at the interview stage of the process. These should be addressed to the Consulate handling the interview.

good luck
