Halooo again!

I've been reading and I'm now confused...who will set the interview date? the Embassy or Me? Coz i thought I will call to give them the dte I want to be interviewed (depends on availability). And some posts here were like, they are waiting for the Appointment date..which makes it sound like the USEM will set the date...

Do I need to wait for the notice to be sent by the USEM? coz I will be going to Manila tomorrow and the Packet might arrive in the province when I'll be in Manila..was hoping I can shoot 2 birds with one stone...without the notice of USEM...

THANKS for future answers!

When the USEM shows you are in their system, they will let you book your interview. You can ask for earliest available date, or ask for a date you're hoping for. Worst the rep is going to say is that it's not available, right?

It took a couple of days for them to internally 'process' my fiance', or what you may call it, BEFORE they would allow me to set an appointment. I got through on ONE of the two days they worked during April Holy Week. Although they had received her packet from the NVC, they wouldn't allow me to book it yet. I think it was Tues of the following week that they allowed me to book her appointment.

Madz,

Once USEM says that you can now get a sked then YOU or YOUR FIANCE can book a schedule by calling the call center. If you didn't get the packet then you can download it naman sa USEM website eh. As for me, I never downloaded it and print it out kasi halos nandito na sa VJ lahat ng sagot :D

hi mario! from what our VJ family members told me before, you can download the letter that the USEM will send to your fiancee. I dont think you will be needing that letter during the interview coz it is more like a guideline and has the list of documentsyour fiancee needs to bring. I think there is a link here in VJ. check out the pinned topics (US embassy) or the Guides part on top...

if i need some corrections here, let us know...

thanks!!!!

Madz, the letter and the packet that you'll get from the USEM are different document.

Letter = it states that USEM already got your papers and that you are legible to schedule your visa interview anytime you want. This will be sent to the beneficiary's address and you can't download this in USEM website.

Packet = It contains documents which states step by step process on how and what to bring on your medical and interview. This packet is downloadable in USEM website.

After you pass your interview. You have to wait for your visa packet which will be delivered by AIR21. The contents of that packet are your passport with visa and the yellow/brown envelope that you shouldn't open and you need to bring this envelope to the immigration officer that will interview you at the POE.

Mario,

You don't have to worry as the call center will send you an email stating your beneficiary's interview date and time schedule after you get her an interview schedule. All she need to do is print that email and show it to the guard of USEM for her to get in plus she also need to show a valid ID.

Good Luck! :star:

What she's saying is, when you BOOK your appointment...they will send a confirmation letter to your/her e-mail. Then you can PRINT OUT that e-mail, and that has the same effect as the hard letter. :star:
