Yeah, I'm curious about that, too. He had to go through extensive security screenings to get that job, so i was kind of hoping it would help his case along, rather than get it stuck in some AP quagmire. he was also previously granted a Schengen visa (Euro visa) twice in the past (post-9/11) for work-related reasons, so apparently the European Union doesn't find him to be a threat... Hopefully the US will follow suit!

I believe she meant because working for the goverment, security type roles or any high ranking positions within another country might make the US take a closer look. It's not about denial its about national security. Might be an issue, might not be.

Ugh, I hope not. Because after this summer, I will have no way to visit again until the following summer.
