Switching from K3 to CR1 Interview!!!!

Hey guys! does anyone know of anyone able to switch a K3 visa interview to a CR1 in Bogota or anywhere else? Our case at NVC in almost about to be completed and our K3 interview was assigned for 6/22 two days before to our wedding anniversary. Does anyone been able to accomplish that in Bogota or at a different Embassy?

Although mine is not in Bogota I am in the process of doing that. From what they told me at Casa is if they get your I-130 in time to the embassy then it will become a CR1 interview instead of a K3.

Yes but NVC will expedite the file and send it right away to the Embassy to make it on time or they will take forever to sent the file? That's what I'm worried about!

I told the DOS (202-663-1225) and wrote the embassy.

I told both to put the K3 on hold, I prefer to use the CR1.

I did this after my wife received the packet 3.

I don't think you will have any problem. It is a very easy issue.

I-130 Submission to Interview - 162 days

NVC Out to P4 - 86 days

2009-02-02 Nanning Wedding

NVC Journey- 7 WEEKS

2009-04-02 : NOA2, I130 Sent to NVC

Thank you! I'm hoping that NVC will approved our CR1 this week so the can send the file to Bogota as soon as possible to be able to make that switch. Will see what happend!
