K-1 Visa/ marriage timeline

Hi, we got married before our 90 days were up on the K-1, but will be filing about a week late on the 90 days. Will that be a problem?

I definitely see how in the whirlwind of getting married, it can be hard to focus on the AOS paperwork. Fortunately (or not) for me, I'm having so much time between NOA1 and NOA2 that I've already gathered all the documents for the interview and have also completed as much of the AOS/EAD paperwork as possible.

For those reading this who haven't got married yet, it may be a good idea to prepare the paperwork in advance, to save you time when you're actually together with your loved one.

It's always a good idea to send the paperwork sooner rather than later.

For those still waiting, I agree with the above poster. We had everything ready in our package except the marriage cert (couldn't get that obviously until the Monday after the wedding) so we were ready to mail it.
