I can honestly say I have never been banned or suspended, but I have gotten a few spankings in the past.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Hmmm something screwy here. I am the only one admitting to a suspension or ban according to the 1st question results. Yet, there are TWO listing reasons and time frames. Did a n00b do a driveby on my poll? :o

Usually I would agree with you on this BUT, There seems to be some appearances of new IDs that greatly resemble, in posts and mannerisms, past members who get banned. That's why I put it in there.

I was banned for being racist. I posted a picture of a box being held up by a stick and under the box was a watermelon (google image search watermelon and Obama and you'll find it somewhere I'm sure). Anyhow, I started a thread saying the secret service was very concerned about the danger of Obama being lured into these types of traps. I thought it was a funny thread and wanted to stir up a little controversy and see the comments I'd get but was banned almost instantly. Then I wrote the moderator and apparently he didn't like the message I sent him so he extended my suspension an extra few days.

India, gun buyback and steamroll.

I've wondered about that - what barriers are there to simply opening a new account for someone who is banned? Do they block by IP address? (I doubt it, since anyone can log in from any computer),

Sure, you start off again as a newbie poster, but you're still back on the boards. It doesn't seem like banning is much of a penalty. Wouldn't termination with extreme prejudice be much more effective? I'm thinking of the 'hang em by the gonads' type of approach... (jk!)
