Dam. I can't believe I'm the third one on the list.

Quite whining....I'm not on the list at all!

'Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO, What a Ride'

I have to agree with the "TOO MANY FRIGGIN MOSQUITOES" ... sorry. It is hard here to actually get out the house without being eaten up, I don't even want to know how bad it can get that close to the water.

We have a pretty bay here too: http://image60.webshots.com/160/6/75/42/24...69cHHcsi_ph.jpg :lol:

That link doesn't work :(

To OP, those are really nice pictures, but that's not my paradise. I would love to visit but nothing for a long run, I am more of a beach person. I grew up in the islands and that's what I enjoy. Well its just different folks different strokes, you shouldn't really take things so seriously.

My signature shows where I am really from and that is my kind of a place to retire or live forever, my husband loves mountains, so we will see what we choose in a few years to come. May be somewhere like Washington would be perfect for us, sea plus mountains :)

Oh have a good day and may be try to wear that humour hat ;) its really not hard to have a laugh.

Nobody will take offense at a joke, but people who are just plain rude (and not in a clever or amusing way either!) for no reason, and can not take as well as they dish out, can just FOAD.

Also, we have beaches in Texas. Have a great day :D

Is it safe to swim there? Very nice place.

Have to go with "no" there ;)

It really depends. There's really no truly safe place anywhere in this state. Weather, wildlife, flora, natives are all just waiting for a mistake. But some spots like certain lakes or gulf beaches are safer than others.

No way, OP, sorry. I spent the majority of my life in Southeast Louisiana. Cajuns, gators, mosquitoes, cypress trees, and crawfish. Only Cajuns and crawfish are good on that list :) Well, the trees are pretty.

I love the south, but I love Seattle more. Mountains, valleys, ocean, lakes, rivers, and a fab metropolis too.

Colorado has it ALL - except an ocean :(

Colorado has been my favorite place to live in the USA. I miss it. :(

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
