I applied in early August(actually sent my app in late July) of 2008 and I was transferred on March 02, 2009, but nothing so far.

Should I be concerned? The only thing that's keeping me away from calling them is that I'm a divorce-waiver filer and I dont know how long takes them for waivers.

Any advice will be appreciated. Thank you.

i dont think it matters if you are waiver filer or not as atleast you should get the interview (if you were not approved). I think our applications sitting somehwere and nobody is bothering to do anything about unless we do something.

same here ( March transfers). i think CSC finished all transfers exept us for some reason. May be our applications sitting on some one's desk who dont like to work like spoled child or may be on vacations. I feel we will not get approval even if we wait more now and i think we should do something like contacting USCIS or other options. what you guys think about it and keep posted here!

hi we're also a march filer but for K-1..

how can i check if it was touched?

i've kept askin on other forums and no one vvill answer me at all..

Register with USCIS and log in. You will see when your application was touched the last time.

thanks

Hi Bigbear2009,

No, the Senator/Congressman/Ombudsman is NOT a supervisor of the USCIS (lol..if they were, the USCIS would run more efficiently then).

Instead, they are a "federal and state government representative"s, elected to be "on your side" to fight against other government agencies (such as the USCIS). They are part of the US Government and sit in the Senate/Congress, but are voted by the people, and in fact, they pass and vote on laws and bills that help our country run the way that it does legally. Federally, the Senator is highest of these positions, followed by the Congressman, and Ombudsman.

(lol..that's a bit of US government politics in a nutshell, as you'll learn more about this when you study for US Citizenship after you finish with the I-751)

They are definitely helpful, and can get the job done, so yes, contact them when/if you run into any problems with any other government agencies.

For more information about your senator and congressman, you can probably do a google search by typing "(insert the name of your state here) senator and congressman", as that's what I did, and eventually found the contact information for the senator and congressperson representing my state (NYS). Note though: Look for a federal level representative, not a state level representative, as the USCIS is a federal agency, not a state one.

Hope this helps too. Good luck with the rest of your immigration journey.

Ant (Still waiting for card 9 months+, still waiting for baby 9 months)

Same here, I am waiting a little over 7 months now; I've seen people getting approved from 62 days to 14 months. I was wondering if anyone knows how to contact the Senator/Congressman or USCIS Ombudsman (is he like a supervisor???). I am in Massachusetts if that matters

Thank you.

what USCIS told you?

Just to wait since we were in the 180 days since being transferred. If that time is up and we haven't received anything, then to call back.

Oh so the 180 days is from TRANSFER and not from initial filing? So then technically it could take over a year..if we filed in Sep and were transferred in March.....or I guess for us 1 year would be about 180 days from Transfer..well that bites..

same here, transfered on 3/10 and still waiting..

I was transferred on feb 26th of 2009 to csc and still didnt hear or get any thing beside a touch when they got my case !! i called and they all give you a simple answer "you are not out of processing time frame" so i guess for whom they where transferred they are treated as they just filed on that date while we filed several monts befor, that does not make any common sense we just have to deal with it.

any feb 2009 transfers still not aproved yet?
