Evidences that bona fides of your marriage- I-130??

Hello,

Do you think it is enough to give for the I-130 form as evidences that bona fides of your marriage:

- proof of joint account

- lease with our two names on it

or do we need to do affidavits of friends, family?

That sounds really good! Also, we had his mother do an affadavit. Just writing down she knew we dated since 2005, she knew we were engaged on this date, she attended our wedding....etc. She signed & dated it. That's the only thing we sent in and it was fine. Good luck!

Affidavits will help, and photos, along with evidence of anything you jointly have.

We only included 3 affidavits from family members and friends that had knowledge our relationship and were at our wedding. We were not asked for any proof of our relationship at the interview either. Good luck on your journey

We used only marriage certificate, lease and bank transfer records. You don't need a lot of evidence for the I-130 petition. Most of it will be going toward the interview. So while it's still early, start gathering evidence such as:

photos of you everywhere together, over a long period of time

photos with family

movie tickets, plane tickets

receipts of anything you buy together

money transfers

joint lease

insurance

affidavits

e-mail and chats

letters and packages

You don't need all of them. Just gather what you can. Good luck!

For the I-130 we only used the marriage certificate and photos from the year we've been together, no statements or other paperwork, and no issues.
