How do you know that your case has been transferred?

Do you receive NOA when your case gets transferred to CSC? If I can't check my status online, there is no way to know this right?

I literally just got my NOA1 for EAD, AP, and 1-485 in the mail...

I am in Virginia, so it was supposed to go to Vermont, BUT on the return address of the envelope, it says California Service Center.

Am I an idiot for assuming it will be processed there?????

We sent our AOS to the Chicago LockBox, but then the case has been transferred to California Service Center. Got approved for AP and EAD and the AP (at the moment, but i suppose it'll be the same with EAD thou) came from Missouri Service Center. The I-485 for the Green Card is still pending in California and we check the status online on the uscis.gov website with the MSC-XX-XXX-XXXX number

You can also check the status on the USCIS website even before (if that's the case for you) getting the NOA for the transfer. Just use the MSC number and type it in the bar in the low right to check the status of your documents
