Hey all

Just interested in seeing how many of us haven't heard from January. As it seems like we are the ones being left behind at the moment. We filed on the 13th January and have even asked for help from our congressman but we haven't heard anything from them yet. I'm guessing it might be to do with the all in one box thing but someone on the 14th Heard so it almost blows that one out of the water. Any theorys?

Keeping my fingers crossed it won't go on for much longer for any of us

Peace out

Todd And Christina

01/08/2009 - POSTED NOA1 to VSC

01/13/2009 - RECEIVED NOA1, Case Pending

02/06/2009 - TOUCHED - Finacee moved so I presume that was the reason for it

05/20/2009 - Contacted Congressman's Alan Grayson's Offices to ask for assistance on our case, He agrees

06/13/2009 - 5 months and nothing, not even from our congressman :( Were is our NOA2!!!!!!

06/16/2009 - Our congressman actually made contact us for the first time in 4 weeks only to tell us they had written our address down wrong so here we are, still stuck in limbo with not a clue what's happenening

06/17/2009 - Called NVC on a off chance they might have it and they do!!!!! Woop woop. All we need now is that hard copy and were set!

06/17/2009 - NVC send our visa and petition to the london embassy - My packet 3 is on the way, woop woop!

06/19/2009 - Recieved NOA2 in the post, dated 06/11/2009. The panicing is over.....for now

Don't know what's going on there either.... but it's making me crazy! I can't eat. I can't sleep. My fiance texts me a dozen times a day asking " Any news?" I'm thinking he is ready to give up on me! :bonk:

already spoke with someone in his office and they said they will look into it as soon as i fax the info. have you called yours? i'm just curious what you base your statement on? also every state is different. what my congressman might do could be different than what yours might do, for better or worse.

besides,,who knows- it might end up doing some good. its better than just sitting, waiting and going nuts about it. at least for me it is. in any case, if it works out good for me- i will post it on here in hopes it helps someone else.

If your congressman looks into it before its been 6 months, USCIS will simply tell them you are within processing times.

again, i ask- have you called your rep? i want to know what you base your statement on. if you are just guessing, say so. otherwise, im going to call who i want to call and if it ends up a dead end, at least i was busy with it for awhile, therefore taking my mind off the endless waiting! not being testy- but looking at your timeline-you already have your approval- im trying to get mine, thank you.

uh no i haven't called them...i have the visa in hand already. i'm talking from other people on VJ's experience. go ahead and call them now. when you REALLY need it after waiting 6 months, they won't want to help you again. there are people on here who have been waiting over a year and a half. I think you can handle a few more months! if they were way PAST january filers at VSC, then you should worry. fact is...they're still doing January. leave the congressmen option for people who are past the processing time.

I appreciate the fact that you "think" you are trying to help with good advice- i really do. but like you said- you already have your visa, i don't. i know clearly that there are others that have waited longer and are still waiting. what they did and are doing to help their case is in their own hands- just like what i do is in my own hands. i actually have been working on my case for over a year- we just filed in Jan. You are not dealing with the tearful phone calls and heartbreaking emails-i am. I am trying to do something, ANYTHING to move the process along. its easy for someone that already has the visa to say the things you are saying- you are not in our shoes. so, although i appreciate the fact you think you are helping, i plan to do exactly what i want to do, including calling my rep, when i want to. if it helps-or if it doesnt- i will post it on here- to help those that havent recieved their approval yet and might be thinking of various options.

If it makes you feel better than I'm all for it :) but my experience from contacting my Senator is to wait till the six month period. What I found is that YES they will look into it than get back to you and tell you that you are still within the processing time.

This wait really sucks!!!!

THANK YOU! finally someone that actually made the call and can speak from personal experience! its annoying to hear from posters that only speculate but havent made the call themselves[ especially those that already have their visa and cant relate to the endless waiting ]. and even if they do tell me im still within the time frame- DAMNIT! it will make me feel better! the waiting is driving me nuts and anything that makes me feel like i'm being pro-active helps. if i hit a brick wall- i will post my own experience and others can decide what they want to do based on that. but i gotta do something......cant stand the waiting and doing nothing................

i WAS in your shoes. i had to wait, just like everyone else. i know how it feels. i'm more concerned about what happens to all the OTHER people who really NEED to call their reps because its been 6 months, or a year, or whatever, and the reps are sick of helping us because of people like you (and no, believe me, you arent the only one calling so soon) who can't wait the normal processing time. i just think this is a slap in the face to people like estadia who have been waiting a year and a half, and you can't even wait the regular processing time. i'm done with this now.
