N-400 Question

I would appreciate some advice to the following.

In 1994 I was a legal non immigrant visitor and got a traffic ticket for following to closely! I paid the fine. No arrest, no detainment, no court appearance. I posted in a check to the appropriate clerk of the court in the county of Florida where I received the traffic ticket.

Fifteen years later I am now an LPR married to a USC and planning to apply for Citizenship based on the 3 year rule. I notice that in the N-400 Form, Part D, Q16 asks whether I was cited by a law enforcement officer.

Question. Based on the above info. Do I say Yes or No to the question? According to the USCIS, unless drug, alcohol related or a fine of $500, no documentation is required, but the instructions do not say if it should be reported on the form.

I cannot remember what I said on my GC related form! Yes I should know but I am a retiree and yes "old age is a b..."

Don't worry about that, what happened to you was a simple traffic ticket, so put no. No need to explain.
