CR1 Visa for 6 Months

Hi Everyone,

Great website I must say. My wife and I got approved for the CR1 visa recently and the day it expires is the day of a friends wedding here. We were not originally planning on going to the states till jan 2010. my questions can i get an extension for more then 6 months and how do i go about it. thanks again..:)

i thought she would have to wait a few weeks to get her green card before she can go back

i thought she would have to wait a few weeks to get her green card before she can go back

no, they will put a temporary stamp(I-551 stamp) in her passport that is in effect her greencard until the actual physical card arrives
