I've done it! Not anymore but when I was a kid. My husband likes to do it as well, but with Doritos instead of potato chips. I also love floats, but I think my favorite is soft vanilla ice cream layered with grape slush! SO good. One place I had it called it a screamer because it was like a double brain-freeze!

Well, I guess its normal. . . . . . I thought they were weird.

So alas, I must try a ham and dill pickle chip sandwich I've decided.

Is it better with tacky bread like Wonder or better with whole grain bread?

Chips in sandwiches are awesome!! So funny to see this thread... I just had a chicken salad sandwich with bbq chips yesterday for lunch. My husband thinks the chips in the sandwich thing is really odd. Maybe it's not done in South Jersey?

I was unaware of the absence of all dressed chips (which would be the chips of choice) until I moved here :( I'll be bringing some home with me though once I get AP!! :D

Time to go out and buy some, try it you'll love it!!!

Either put the chips on with another filling, or do as I do and just have bread, butter and chips.....yummy....lol

I have also eaten chips in my sammies for years, and I am from South Africa.

Try this one for good measure, take one of those triangle shaped cheese (we call them cow cheese, because it has a cow on it  ) and spread that on a white bread roll and then add, sour cream and cheese ruffles - yum-o!!!!

I think they sometimes view chips as a french-fry substitute or something. In England they often put chips in sandwiches and/or eat them on the side as part of the meal too. I see lots of people in teh US eating chips as part of their meals as if they are a food group. Wierd!

You mean, chips aren't a standard snack - aka food group - in Canada?? Really? Wow. I leanred something new! Pringles are the best!

we eat chips in Canada too ...lol
