My fiance lives in London, UK. We are both originally from South Africa & I now live in the USA and am an American citizen & looking forward to him joining me here in the States. Since he lived in South Africa for more than 6 months, he needs to get police clearance records for both South Africa & the UK. Is anybody familiar with how & where he needs to get fingerprinted in the UK & also in getting the info he needs from South Africa? I don't believe they do fingerprinting at the local police stations in the UK, so he needs to go to some consulate... however, he hasn't been able to reach anybody there by phone.

Any ideas & suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks!

Start with the reciprocity tables at DOS. They will tell you how to get them.

Moving this to consulate/embassy forum, you need them for visa interview, not when filing an I-129F

Also, for UK police clearance, try this link ACPO. I had to get one for myself and they were super good.

Hope that helps.
