hello every one. My fiance have finished all the paper work, and we are ready to send out the package. We want to put it in a 3 ring binder, but we didnt know if we were able to punch holes in the paper work and in the documents. we were considering using plastic paper protectors for each individual paper. Is this too much? Do you think we should put a whole section of paper work in one paper protector?

and i also have another question. Do we need to sign the bottom of every coppies of passport stamps, flight itineraries, pictures or just the forms? Thanks for all of your help.

Don't even waste your time or money ... they take it apart and make their own file anyway ... stack the papers neatly put the pictures in a clear ziplock and send it like that .. seriously they make their own file once they receive it.

The preferred hole punching is two hole on top using Acco fasteners. The 3 ring binder will be discarded.

Agreed, they will make their file the way they want. Fancy protectors/sleeves will just end up in the trash bin.

Best practices & tips can be found here... --> http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;page=assembly

From that link:

In preparing your packet, please take note of the following:

a. Do not use binders or folders that cannot be easily disassembled.

b. Use ACCO fasteners to hold together thick or bulky applications or petitions. Two-hole punching the top of the material for easy placement in the file is appreciated.

c. The use of tabs assist in locating items listed as attachments. The tabs should be placed on the bottom and not the side for ease in filing.

d. Avoid using heavy-duty staples; instead use ACCO fasteners or heavy clips.

e. Avoid submitting originals unless specifically required (Forms I-94, Labor certifications, etc). Avoid submitting oversized documentation when possible.

I used big paperclips :) Seriously, you are wasting your money. Save it for nicer flowers or something for your wedding. And the individual paper protectors is going to just tick off the individual who has to take each piece of paper out and put it in their files in their order.
