He needs to give himself one!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Did she use the word denied, or sending back to US or what exactly did she say. Our case has been sent back as of April 28th. We know how you feel. Very frustrating when they wont even look at the evidence you are supplying them with. We sent letters of suppor from family and f riends, but that didnt seem to do any good for us. They sent Houcines case back (they say) the next day. We didnt have any time to even rebuttle. Let us know whats happening and exactly the CO said.

Also, when its a male applying for the VISA, the conulant is much more strict and apt to send back to USCIS.

It is not because they do not have very good reasons to suspect fraud. They have the back end to deal with ( aka prior frauds from the same consulate) If you want to save this , you are going to have to find out what questions exactly he did not know.. and they might be major things) Knowing where you graduated from high school is a normal question. Where you went to college, what hobbies you have. What you do for fun and where you go. I know this seems insignificant , but the consulate in some weird way is trying to protect you. I only wish they could protect some of us when the guys get here and start dating around and chatting after getting their conditional. Ok back to subject. You need to get with MOrocco forever and some of these girls who have been through a returned petition... Good luck

My husband and I have been married for 4 1/2 years. If you asked him what high school I went to he wouldn't have the slightest idea. Why? Because it is significant IMO. He has been here over 2 years, and if you asked me what color his toothbrush he has I wouldn't know unless I went into the bathroom to see. To me it is the one on the right.

I realize they have an overwhelming job to do when it comes to weeding out fraud, but these questions are not going to do it. To be frank I am not sure what questions would help, but the fact that my husband doesn't know what high school I went to doesn't prove a thing. I have often wondered why they don't use lie detectors. Those are pretty reliable aren't they?

Of those denied in situations like this, how many of you sent proof of continung relationship at the same time as you sent your K-1 app in? It would seem this could be a case where "front-loading" evidence might help reduce the denials.

most going thru casa know to send everything in the basic first application ( know if they have read here) because it has long been stress...send a loaded application because that maybe all the interviewer looks at. We know they review to some degree the applications to start the process this unfortunately is where alot of the problems start if they have doubt so the first impression counts if they feel good about it they may skim thru some of the evidences (to be sure) look at a few pictures and say ok, if they have formed that opinion on application that is very vague filled with questons seems that sticks with them and they barely look at evidences and really analye the questions to death. At interview the guys HAVE to understand completely what is being said to them the interviewers can ask the same questions twice but in different ways

I think front loading with a ton of contact, phone calls, pictures, cards , letters etc all properly organised helps. But honestly, I think they make alot of their decisions on a gut feeling. I had a very tragic and stress filled year but honestly their is absolutely no doubt in my mind that my husband was just after a greencard and they did not catch it. They do the best they can but sometimes they are wrong. I think Morocco forever is one of the best to ask about how to survive this consulate. I know one other fiancee from my country who's husband passed the interview and got here last year and within one month she found out she was duped. Passing the interview doesnt mean its kosher like not passing it doesnt mean love is not real. I think the poster needs to get together with others who went through casa and the ringer and made it out the other side

Actually Brn is more qualified to assist her on this one than I am. She has endured a denied K-1 whereas I was denied the CR1. I certainly know a lot about surviving this, but since our petition was different I only go on what I have heard from others that were denied the K-1.

Really just responding to say Hi Kat! Good to see you.

Important to realize that consulates differ. Oddly, I do not think Algiers is on the lookout for fraud to the extent other are. The interviews are really easy and I do not know of one marriage-based application that has been denied (though I do know of several that, in my mind, obviously should have been). Maybe lack of American tourists passing through, maybe the Algerian men have not yet caught on to chatting as a way to meet American women...for whatever reasons, there are many fewer applications and much less suspicion. I think anyone going through a high fraud consulate needs to be prepared for the process. It is, overall, meant to protect the USC. Unfortunately, it also makes the process hell for genuine couples.

I am so sorry that you have received such news.

I think whatever you can do..congressman and senator intervention, letters from family and friends to validate.

Seek out your advice here.

There are enough people here with experience who can guide you to links to help guide you through this.

Don't give up the fight!

I just disgusts me that our futures lie in the hands of total strangers who think they can ascertain what is a real or fake relationship. It is really scary and very disheartening.

Just remember that the COs do this because they have seen far too many cases of fraud. They're only trying to prevent sh!t from happening. Sometimes they're wrong about what they've seen, but I bet in many, many cases they're right.

It looks like my getting right on the case when the denial came was a good thing. I received a call from Abdel this morning. He told me that the consulate called, and he has another appointment on the 28th of May. When he asked what he should bring....he was told his passport.

To be honest, I think that the consulate agreed just to make me stop monopolizing their fax line and to stop filling their email box. Whatever the reason, I'm not complaining.

Thank you all for your advice and good wishes...

Usually, if they want you to bring your passport, they are gonna issue you a visa. Hopefully, this is the case with you. They may do an AP investigation which can take anywhere from days to months, but don't panic yet.

on the issue of fraud, the interviewers are only going on basic, general looks. How can they be expected to (catch) this type of person when we have talked to them for months/years and dont see it? The person wanting to do fraud probably knows all the steps they may seem to know the process already and are instructing you what to do, they may seem to be in a hurry to get everything done and get upset when its not moving fast enough for them. There are signs, the embassy doesnt see all this.

There are many denies, sent back, expired even when things are on the up and up and real, these will take longer but will last the test of these times (and expenses)
