hi i am a usc that has fallen inlove with a filippina. i will be going to the philippines in one week to physically meet her and her family. with that out of the way here are my concerns with being able to obtain a fiance visa. 1. i barely started making enough money with my career to be above the poverty line this year. 2. i have a DUI and a felony posession of methanphetimine conviction both from four years ago. for the first issue i have a cosponser (my father who makes around $80k a year) what can i do to not have to worry about my criminal convictions? should i even worry about these issues? please help. has anyone been in my situation? thanx im new to this site so forgive me please for any mistakes i have made in the topics section.

Timeline

Income will not be an issue until the time of the visa interview which will be some time from now perhaps a year from now and at that time you may be able to sponsor without a joint sponsor.

Criminal record needs to be presented when you file I-129F.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.
