If you're lucky the field office will forward your package to the proper place - if not, they'll probably return it to your fiancé.

Have him keep an eye on the account he wrote the check from. That is your first indication it was accepted. They won't cash it until it's in the right place.

the package was returned to him. Had him sent it to VSC immediately, 22 May 2009.

As of 29th of May, cheque was cashed already but no notice yet received.

If he can get the image of the check from the bank, you can find your case # on the back. Or just wait for NOA1. No biggie. Good thing you got it back quickly!

Actually you may be more lucky if they return it to your fiance. Forwarding it to the proper place will probably take weeks. Ask him to get an infopass appointment and go in and ask for it, it is probably sitting sround there somewhere, if not they will be able to tell him if they pony-expressed it to the proper service center

Good. You will get the notice in a few days or weeks. The notice itself is not important, they have it.
