My husband is Egyptian, but lives in Egypt and will be interviewing there, so I can't comment on the Qatar question. He also hasn't interviewed yet (mailing off packet 3 tomorrow inshaAllah) but I can definitely sympathize with you about worrying about the Egyptian-related stigma of fake marriages. I am worried about my husband's interview.

thanks for your support and i wish you both a successful interview :)

i'm not sure if the stigma is "real" on the outside, or just mainly posted in forums like this, but it is sad...............i mean, there are men & women from any country who could be guilty of a fake marriage, i just don't understand why the big focus on egyptian men.

and i hope that the fact that we are both muslim and that i'm also of arab descent and I wear hijab will help our case. We look like any ordinary arab couple walking the streets in the middle east, just that i was born in america.

it's so sad that all of us, from any 2 countries, have to have our future lives and dreams together in america decided by one human who doesn't even know us. :(

anyway, i wish everyone the best
